The Educational Leaders and Educators are responsible for the development of a child-centred program, which reflects the Centre’s philosophy and meets the five outcomes as outlined in My Time Our Place.
Through the Framework’s five learning goals educators will assist your child to develop:
- A strong sense of their identity
- Connections with their world
- A strong sense of wellbeing
- Confidence and involvement in their learning
- Effective communication skills
The Educational Leaders prepare a program after collaboration with children and educators based on suggestions and ideas made by the children. The programs include art and craft, music, cooking, drama and sporting activities. There will be themes of special interest, and a variety of activities will be available during the session.
Children can choose to join in programmed activities or find their own activity or games.
Only “G” and “PG” (at Educators discretion) rated videos/films/games are shown/played at the Centre.
We critically reflect on our program and practices to ensure we are providing the best opportunities for the children we can.
If parents or other interested parties have special talents or interests that they would like to share with WOOSHC please talk to the Service Manager or Educational Leaders to arrange a time.
Photos and videos of your child/children may be taken when doing activities or special events at WOOSHC.
