Food & Nutrition

WOOSHC aims to provide a nutritious menu by following the principles set out in the Australian Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents.

  • Breakfast is available from 7am – 8am, which usually consists of cereal and toast.
  • Afternoon tea is at 3:30pm, see our menu on the wall for each days afternoon tea
  • Afternoon snack is served at around 5.30pmin Spring/Summer and 5pm Autumn/ Winter  
  • Water will be available at all times.

Variations will occur when; cake baking and cooking sessions form part of the program.

Parents and children are encouraged to share family and multicultural values, ideas and recipes. Children and parents are encouraged to contribute to the menu ideas.

 

Allergies

WOOSHC IS AN ALLERGY AWARE CENTRE

Parents/carers must advise WOOSHC on the enrolment form if your child suffers from food allergies.

No foods containing eggs, peanuts or nuts, peanut butter, nutella or any snack bars that may contain nuts, kiwi fruit, bananas, sesame are to be brought to the service without informing an educator.
